For example I have a dropdown with 2 columns with first column having "Project Engineer" and second "VAC-1001".
My user types "1001" as search criteria and system brings one record, but that record (Rad Combo Box Item) is not being selected. I tried setting Selected Item to its text but getting below error: "Property 'Selected Item' is 'Read Only'." I also tried using Selected Index, but that is also not working.
When applying a Data Template in the code behind(and view model) that contains a Rad Combo Box to an instance of Data Form Combo Box Field, that Data Template’s Rad Combo Box’s Selected Value binding does not work.
If however, that same code is used without applying the Data Template (which includes having the bindings and properties of the “standard/default” Combo Box that is part of the default Data Form Combo Box Field set explicitly), everything works fine.
I am not able to select the first item of Rad Combo Box programmatically. Hello Muhammad Irfan, I am afraid that we will need more details about your implementation. but that record (Rad Combo Box Item) is not being selected.”?
I have instantiated a Rad Combo Box with 2 columns. Could you please send us a simplified runnable page where we will be able to observe the issue? Do you want the item to be selected or you expect it to be highlighted?
The Binding Mode needs to be One Way To Source or Two Way since the source is what you want updated.
Mode One Way is Source to Target and therefore makes the Source Read Only which results in never updating the Source. I've been fighting with this issue for hours today, and you know what I found out? The list that was populating the Combo Box was Int64, and I was trying to store the value in an Int32 field! Add(name) Next _selected Name = default Name End Sub Public Read Only Property My List() As Observable Collection(Of String) Get Return _mylist End Get End Property Public Read Only Property Selected Name() As String Get Return _selected Name End Get End Property End Class Class Window1 Private obj1 As My List Object Private obj2 As My List Object Private odp As Object Data Provider Public Sub New() Initialize Component() Dim namelist1 As New List(Of String) namelist1. Add("Steve") obj1 = New My List Object(namelist1, "Steve") . Find Resource("My List Object"), Object Data Provider) odp. It appears that you have a list of strings and want the binding to just do string matching against the actual item content in the combobox, so if you tell it which property to use for the Selected Value it should work; at least, that worked for me when I ran across this problem. Selected Text Tip: Selected Value is preferred for Combo Style. Object Instance = obj1 End Sub Private Sub btn_List1_Click(By Val sender As System. It seems like Content would be a sensible default for Selected Value but perhaps it isn't? The Combo Box contains the names "Joe" and "Steve" and "Steve" is selected by default. Object Instance = obj2 End Sub End Class When the Window first loads, the bindings hook up fine.Hi oned , thanks for reply I checked that code but same problem, i think there is no items in Radcombobox4 assigning time, but code is correct Agent Id matching value is there in radcombobox but it always shows null.
